Transatlantic is an
experiment in the limits of musical experience, testing our perception of the
esthetic borders between jazz and flamenco in order to create a natural and
congruent dialogue between the two musical traditions. Born of a reflection on
musical genres and the linguistic evolution of both, through Transatlantic, the
Ian Scionti Trio offers a symbiotic and congenital union where the two musical
lexicons coalesce, crossing musical and cultural borders for a cohesive
encounter. Ian Scionti (flamenco/jazz guitar), brings the principal voice to
the project through his original compositions and arrangements, Javier Delgado
(upright bass) establishes the traditional jazz foundation while Arnaud Clerc
(percussion) pushes the rhythmic interplay between styles. Equally inspired by
hard-bop eminences such as Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock or Joe Henderson, as
well as flamenco guitar masters like Paco de Lucía or Manolo Sanlucar, the Ian
Scionti Trio establishes a musical discourse through the complete immersion in
and dominance of both musical genres. Transatlantic premiered in the II
International Guitar Festival of Sevilla in 2013 and between them the members
of the group have performed all over Europe, North America and the Middle East.
Durante os espetáculos de música ao
vivo, ao 1º consumo, aplica-se uma majoração de 5.00€ (cinco euros) para cada
